Robert Fulghum, 1986
A minister who worked as a bartender, ranch hand and singing cowboy argues that sharing, napping and cookies with milk are the whole of ethics.
Robert Fulghum
Robert Fulghum writes the way a good neighbor talks over a fence: short, funny, plainspoken essays that keep returning to kindergarten rules like sharing, napping and holding hands, and finding them still useful in offices, town halls and kitchens. Start with «Όσα χρειάζεται να ξέρω τα έμαθα στο Νηπιαγωγείο», the book those pieces come from, where a minister who has also tended bar and worked as a ranch hand makes the case that cookies with milk and an afternoon nap cover most of what ethics needs. It suits you if you want something you can pick up for a few pages and put down smiling.
Feels like memory, joy and tenderness.

Fulghum was a Unitarian Universalist minister who also worked as a bartender, ranch hand and IBM salesman; this, his first book, was published when he was 49.
A world where every government's first policy is to put things back where it found them.
Books by Robert Fulghum
